Topic: Should Greg Mortenson Be Classified As A Hero? Sure, the book does describe him as a hero but they are controversial topics on whether or not he really is the hero they described him as. I'm here to state my opinion, is he or is he not a Hero. Sacrifice. I'm Sure we've all had our own share of sacrifices, but does a sacrifice really qualify you as a hero? In this case the amount of sacrifices made and the impact of his actions have made him a hero. His name has caused tension to arise and has made his achievements fade into disagreements on whether or not he is a hero, but if you heard of a person who sacrificed his house, car, clothes and personal needs to justify the rights of children all through the Pakistan and Afghanistan regions and build schools for the worthy youth of these foreign countries, and say he's not a hero? He may have not built as many schools as he stated but he did build them, he did put in the time, effort and money to do something so unselfish that he is a hero. Sacrifices can be hard but Greg made these sacrifices that caused great impacts toward the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan. These students, girls were given the chance to study and make a living in which they would be proud of. A sacrifice can be life changing and that's when you know that is a single individual can change the lives of so many people, they should be called a hero. Changing lives for the better is an amazing thing but constantly making opportunities for others, for girls who want to become something other than a housewife is truly incredible. Now I might not know every detail of his story but I do know based on his book and my opinions on the book as a believer and supporter of Three Cups Of Tea that in my eyes Greg Mortenson is a hero. Because even before the C.A.I he was an ordinary person like me. He was an ordinary person who took a chance to change lives throughout the Pakistan and Afghanistan regions, so if a normal person can influence others in such a way that changed many lives then that person is not only a hero, but is an inspiration.

I agree with your choice that Greg Mortenson is a hero, because building schools for children was out of his own selflessness. You have an amazing writing talent and use words that make your assignments POP! Good job.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Your beginning was very interesting. It got me hooked quickly. I especially loved your beginning for your second paragraph! Maybe if you shortened your writing a bit it might have been better. Never the less... GREAT JOB!!
